Lens Studio#

Lens Studio lets you decide where every tab of Lens K8S IDE goes. Split the main view to keep Pods next to Deployments, or move a log stream to a window on a second monitor while you work on the first.

Lens Studio comes with the Plus, Pro, and Enterprise subscription plans and with an active trial.

Key capabilities#

  • Work with tabs side by side. Split the main view into groups of tabs, each with its own tab strip.
  • Keep dock tabs next to a list. Drag a terminal or a log view out of the dock and drop it beside the list it is about.
  • Open any tab in a window of its own, move it to another screen, and put it back among the other tabs with Demote as Tab.
  • Let Ask AI arrange your tabs. Ask for a list beside what you are looking at, or in a window of its own.

  • Split screen

    Split the view, move tabs between groups, and resize or close groups.

  • Tabs in windows

    Open a tab in a window, work in it, and put it back.

Without a premium subscription#

Without Lens Studio, the split icon and Open in new window carry a PREMIUM badge that opens the Premium Features page.
