Cost Monitoring shows what a cluster costs over the last 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, broken down by namespace across CPU, memory, storage, and network. It reads the cost tool already running in your cluster, and estimates the figures from cluster metrics when you run none.

The estimate deploys nothing into the cluster, so it uses no node capacity of its own.
